Turn dance dreams into reality!
During your private lessons, you'll understand how to dance to your song's rhythms and come away with a routine that is perfectly customized for you. I'll video you at the end of every lesson so you can practice at home.
Dance Packages
All offerings are private, 50-minute lessons. Couples will be taught how to listen to the rhythm of their song, when to enter, and how to dance to the rhythm. This is the key to success and to looking natural
when dancing (and not like you’ve had X number of lessons 😊)!

We weren't even sure we wanted to take dance lessons for our wedding. But after the first session, we had so much fun and actually enjoyed learning something together. We looked forward to it each week, and our friends still talk about the first dance we did.

Get Started: Tell us about You and your event
Eileen, thank you for being such a great dance instructor—helping me transform from Frankenstein to Fred Astaire for my dance with my daughter at her wedding. Well, I wasn’t exactly Fred Astaire, but you gave me enough confidence to move somewhat gracefully around the dance floor, where I am normally as stiff as a board. You choreographed the perfect dance for us with my level of dance skills.
My daughter and I were so impressed with your enthusiasm and your genuine sincerity in making sure our dance was just right for us.
I look forward to more dance lessons with you for the next wedding!

What is it like to learn your special dance with First Dance Long Island?
- Private lessons that are actually private—it’s just you and your dance partner (and me!) learning to dance in a non-judgmental, cheerful space
- Lesson packages include exactly what you need to learn your special dance and nothing extra that you don’t have the time for, such as weekly group classes or dances that are often “rolled into” a traditional ballroom studio lesson package
- You'll get a personalized routine customized especially for your song. I can also give you the tools to build your own dance as you see fit to give your number a more natural look and feel
- I’ll film you dancing at the end of each lesson so you know exactly what to practice at home, meaning you’ll make progress faster and need fewer lessons overall
- Planning a big event is stressful, and the "dancing part" is often the last thing to figure out on your to-do list. I get it! Many people end up doing "the 8th grade stand and sway" because they didn't leave time for a lesson or two. Lessons with me will be fun and stress free, and in the end, you'll be so glad you have some special moves to mark your special occasion!
